The Aš Museum
The ethnographic collection of the Aš Museum is currently displayed in the tastefully renovated premises of the former municipal library in a listed building no. 635 (the so-called. "Firehouse") located in Poštovní Square.
Visitors can learn not only about the history of the town and its surroundings, but also where the town derived its name and why three Thymallus species (a member of the salmon family) appeared in the town´s coat of arms. Part of the exhibition is devoted to the history of the former owners of Ašsko-Neuberg´s manor, the lords of Neuberg and Zedtwitz, and to the religious situation in the region.
